Starting from ingredients mixing and continuing with kneading, fermentation, baking, cooling and packing, the production processes of Spicul are entirely automatic, the human intervention being minimum. The new production lines of Japanese, Dutch, Austrian and German origin will deliver constant quality premium products, addressed to cultivated consumers. Presently, the investment within S.C. SPICUL S.A. was completed on the secondary processing part, the unit already entering the production step.

The secondary processing part is represented by the production of bread, biscuits, pasta and cookies, that covers approx. 65% of the investment amount, weight that will also have in the company’s turnover. The primary processing is represented by: normal wheat mill, hard wheat mill, corn mill and starch and gluten production plant.

The gluten production out of wheat also requires the starch production out of wheat. The gluten is a valuable product used in the bakery industry, also having the capability of food binding agent. For this purpose it is also used for other food raw materials. The starch has multiple applications in the food industry as well as in the non-food industry, and could be used in the canned food industry, frozen products, snacks and breakfast cereals, sweets, dairy products, processed meat, flavours and drinks, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry, textile, paper, adhesives industry, etc.

The wheat mill is of German origin – Buhler, being one of the first investments made by Spicul after 90’s. With this mill Spicul will ensure the main raw material – flour, for internal requirements as well as the flour to be sold to other manufacturers or to the retail stores. The flour produced by the Buhler mill will have various properties, covering most of the flour types currently manufactured, such as 480, 550, 650, 1250, 1350. The hard wheat mill will be one of the few investments of this type in Romania and with its help S.C. SPICUL S.A. will be able to produce pasta made of wheat and to export this primary processing product.
